A little bunny was found hopping around Gretna Green today delivering special Easter egg treats.  We would like to thank "Bunny Eden" for kicking off our Easter weekend!  On behalf of the entire learning community of Gretna Green we would like to extend to you an enjoyable Easter weekend with family and friends!

Prime Minister Harper took time to personally meet with Mrs Gardiner's grade 3 class during today's visit to the Miramichi.  The students were permitted to ask him questions and engage in a great dialogue and great a wonderful learning experience for everyone involved.  A special thanks to MP, Tilly O'Neill-Gordon for making this happen!

 Students in grades 3-5 displayed a wide array of impressive STEM Fair projects for our entire school community this afternoon.  It was amazing to see the amount of time, effort and imagination that went into creating such great projects.  After much deliberation, five projects were selected to represent GG in the upcoming ASD-N STEM Fair on Wednesday, April 8th.  The finalists are: Eliazabeth Cooper, Shahd Adoubali, Ryley Connell & Nathan Rupke, Kaelie Singleton & Aurora Sutton, Claire Wood.  Congratulations!

Students wore all kinds of cool hats in class today and in exchange donated a loonie to a great cause; supporting the Miramichi Autism Society.  A donation of all funds raised will go directly to this great association.  Well done Gretna Green!

The students and staff were treated to some French Acadian Cuisine this week at GG.  It proved to be a tastey treat for many and a great cultural experience for all.  Thanks again to Mme Dickson for making this possible.

A special thanks to Beth Clancy and Charlotte Pickford (David's mom) for creating the first ever Just For Boys Club in ASD-N!  The program was a huge success and created a lot of great memories for our grade five boys.  The program foucssed on perception, conflict resolution and making healthy choices. Thanks again to Beth and Charlotte for reaching out to Gretna Green to launch this exceptionally successful program!

We are happy to inform you that the CUTE Awards have been rescheduled to Thursday, April 9th.  The ceremony will take place at the JMH theatre. The official show will begin at 7:00 with a 21st Century Learning Showcase taking place in the JMH library from 6:00-7:00 pm.  So come on out and take in the ceremony and support Gretna Green's 8 entries!

Report cards will go home on Tuesday, March 24th. Parent teacher times will be on Thursday, March 26th from 4-7pm and Friday, March 27th from 9-11:30 am. You will find assigned interview times in your child's report card envelope. Remember- there will be no school on Friday for students.
