We would like to inform our entire GG learning community that the provincial government has declared September 30th a provincial holiday in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the lost children and survivors of the residential school system, as well as their families and communities. There will be no school for students K-12 next Friday, September 30, 2022.
Our fall sporting program is set to start a new season with both soccer and cross country being offered to many of our Gators. This of course is not possible without the voluntary help of our GG staff and learning community. Thanks to all those who have stepped yet again this year to make it happen for our Gators!

Mme McQuaid-Murphy and her students were selected to be featured on the Radio Canada show, "Emission Estival à Nous L'été" that will be broadcast between July 8th and August 12th. It will feature a Miramichi Tourism, highlighting the tour boat Max Aitken. It was an excellent authentic experience for our Immersion learners and a great moment for our Gators!
We are exceptionally proud to launch the official video of partnership that was recently created between Gretna Green School and Horizon Health. Mrs Foran along with Keira, Lleyton, Jack, Maya, Pedro and Aliyah created this video with an excellent message regarding healthy living and the 5210 initiative. We would like to remind our entire learning community that there will be no school for all students on Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th. These days will be designated for our annual AGM and teacher subject council day.
Hey Gators - how about some new soccer nets for our school soccer field? Gretna Green School will be holding a spring fundraiser starting Monday, April 11, 2022 and ending on Monday, April 25, 2022 in support of the purchase of new soccer nets for our Gators. Students will be selling tickets on Petro-Canada gas gift cards worth $1000!!!
We would like to remind our entire learning community that term 2 report cards will be going home for all K-8 students on Monday, April 11th. A memo will accompany your child's report card with information regarding parent-teacher interviews.
