Welcome back to another awesome week superstars. This is a four day week of school because there will be Parent-Teacher Interviews and PD on Friday.  So that means no school for you!

Report cards will go home on Monday! Parent-Teacher interview times will be indicated on your report card.

We will be visiting the Scholastic Book Fair this week on Monday and Wednesday afternoon at 1:00.

As a class we are still working on choosing to be "Nice"! We have most of our Superstar board filled in which means that many of you chose to do the right thing last week and you were "nice" to your friends and classmates. Way to go!

Basketball for both boys and girls will start this week.  Times and days will be passed on as soon as I have them.

Thanks Mrs. Lynch for helping make catapults. It was lots of fun!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their extra long weekend. Congratulations on unlocking anothering reward. You have worked really hard at greeting people and treating others the way you want to be treated. This week we are going to focus on choosing to be "Nice". You have a choice in how you behave, always try to choose to be nice!

Saturday morning there will be a special breakfast in our cafeteria. Tickets for this breakfast went home last week. Tickets are $5.00/person and there are three different times you can attend.

Language Arts - This week we will be finishing our study with "contractions". We will also be re-visiting the Ideas trait in writing.

Math - This week we will be finishing our Mental Math strategies and moving on to adding with big numbers. In your homework this week you have to play a multiplication game with someone at home. Remember to be studying your three and four times table. We only have one more week with these before we move on.

Remember Superstars that this is a four day school week. Friday is a Professional Development day for teachers so there is NO SCHOOL for students.

Our Remembrance Day service will take place on Thursday morning at 10:00 in the gym.  Parents are welcome to attend.

A reminder that the weather is getting cooler and you will need proper clothing for outdoors. Bring your hats, mitts and warm coats!!

We had our reward from our Superstar board on Friday(an extra art period). This week we are going to focus mostly on the Golden Rule...treating others the way you want to be treated.  This was a challenging one for us last week. I know we can do better in this area.

Language Arts - We will continue to learn about contractions this week.

Math - We will be working on Mental Math strategies for addition this week.

Science - We will present our projects on Rocks, Minerals and Soils this week. You are doing an AWESOME work with these project!!

Let's have another Supestar week!!
