Re: POSITIVE COVID-19 CASE AT GRETNA GREEN SCHOOL

This is to inform you that Public Health has confirmed a positive COVID-19 case at Gretna Green School. As a result, tomorrow, Thursday, November 25th will be an operational day. All students will learn from home. All staff are to report to the school as usual. We are working with Public Health officials to identify any students and school personnel who may have been in contact with the case. Official notification from Public Health officials will be sent to you via email from the school if you have been in close contact with the confirmed case, and will inform you if you must self-isolate.

If you do not receive notification from Public Health, please closely self-monitor for symptoms and get tested should any develop. I understand that you may feel anxious that there is a positive case confirmed in our school. However, it is important that we continue to show professionalism by remaining vigilant about protecting the privacy of students and school personnel at this time. Public Health officials will inform those who are at risk of the next steps, but to protect the privacy of students and school personnel, other details including names, will not be released.
