Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12 is the Defenders of Middle Island video game pre-launch here at GG. The eight grades 4 and 5 students who have been working on the project, along with their NBCC counterparts, will pre-launch their game in anticipation of the official launch at the Jalloo Festival next week. The pre-launch will take place in the GG library at 10:00 am. The students' classmates (grades 4B, 4D, 5G, and 5S) and parents are invited to attend.
Mr Ryan lead his archery team to a second place finish overall in the ASD-N Archery Meet held on Saturday. Matthew Binedell and Matthew Brennan finished first and second in their division. Thanks again to Mr. Ryan for organizing this year's district meet and coaching our school team!
Looking for fun filled family activity on Saturday, June 8th? Come take part in the festival with free admission at the Golden Hawk Centre, Miramichi East, beginning at 8:30 a.m. A wide variety of events is offered and the day promises to be a good deal of fun for the whole family. Funds raised will be donated to Autism Resources Miramichi.

Wednesday, June 19, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Gretna Green Gamers project, Defenders of Middle Island, will be featured at this event!
Congratulations to the entire cast and backstage helpers for doing a fantastic job in this evening's drama production of Sleeping Beauty. This evening's receptive audience were provided an excellent performance. Mr. Stewart recently completed the training session for next year's Peer Helper group. The peer helpers are now fully trained and ready to assist our students on the playground in resolving issues that may arise. We would like to thank Mr. Stewart for providing this unique learning for our students once again this year. Congratulations to all of our grade 4 students who were selected. Bravo boys and girls!
Our very own Dylan Dodge is the proud recipient of the 2013 ASD-N TURN AROUND AWARD presented this evening in a gala where Dylan was surrounded by family and friends. We are all so pleased with the progress Dylan has shown throughout his memorable school years with us at Gretna Green Elementary. Bravo Dylan. We are all so proud of you!
