In Lang. Arts, we continue to work on our Health unit and have begun discussing how to take care of ourselves by eating well, being clean, exercising and resting. We will also learn Valentine Vocabulary. These new words will help the students during oral, writing and reading activities! We will also be working on procedural writing. We will follow a recipe on Valentine's day and make something yummy to eat! Next week, students will independently write a procedural text by writing their own tasty recipe! In Math, we continue to use mental math strategies: doubles, doubles + 1, making 10 and adding 10s. We are also learning to use different estimating strategies to add two digit numbers.
