Welcome back to our first week of April! A big thank you goes out to everyone who supported Renous’s bid to win Kraft Hockeyville. What an overwhelming success!

Please note that the Scholastic Book Fair is up and running this week. Time will be set aside for students to visit. The fair will also be open during parent teacher interviews.

Pizza will be served on Thursday. A notice was sent home with students’ report cards.

*** Please ensure white homework binders are brought to school on Mondays for student’s weekly work and that reading bags are brought daily for notices, handouts, etc.***

French - Our homework sheet for the week will be entitled “Flouc, floc, flac, flic” Our animal and pet unit continues. This week’s goal will be to complete our good copy of our funny/weird animal writing assignment.

Guided reading will also take place with myself during our Daily 5. Whilst a group is reading, others will be working in various centers. Students will receive new book within a 4 day cycle to be brought home along with their new sound and song/poem sheet of the week. Please note that year end expectation for students is to be within the F-G-H range.

Math – We will review multiplication and division this week. A quiz will be held on Thursday. We will begin Measurement on Monday. Please feel free to go to Learn Alberta website found in my web links to practice various outcomes. Math Reflex is also another great resource that students have been practice here at school.

Health - Our focus this week will be emotions. What makes us happy, sad, etc.

Social Studies - We will discuss the province of NB and locate in relation to the rest of Canada.

Science - We will begin next week. We will be learning all about plants and soil.

Please refer to our school website regularly for important information and postings. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I will respond via phone call as promptly as I can. Let’s have a great week! Cheers :)
