French - We continue with our Family unit. This week’s focus will be to create a descriptive booklet of our family. Students will be encouraged to utilize all the resources at their disposal i.e. word wall, visual dictionaries, etc.

Guided reading will also take place with myself during our Daily 5. Whilst a group is reading, others will be working in various centers. Students will receive new book within a 4 day cycle to be brought home along with their new sound and song/poem sheet of the week. Please note that year end expectation for students is to be within the F-G-H range.

Math - We will continue with perimeter this week. If time permits, we will make the distinction between estimating and measuring with centimeters vs meters.  Please feel free to go to Learn Alberta website found in my web links to practice various outcomes. Math Reflex is also another great resource that students have been practice here at school.

Health - We will be discussing needs versus wants and what overall health incorporates in order to live and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Social Studies - We continue to discuss the province of NB. This week’s focus will be topography and the various terrains situated within our province.

Science - We will continue to learn and label parts of a plant this week. Our bean plants have sprouted as well, so we will take the opportunity to look at them a little closer.

Please refer to our school website regularly for important information and postings. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I will respond via phone call as promptly as I can. Let’s have a great week! Cheers :)
