Welcome back. I trust everyone had a restful and enjoyable break. I looked forward to hearing from everyone this moring. Please note that I will be away Thursday and Friday for meetings.

French - Everyone will be finalizing their February assignments. Looking ahead, grade 6 students will be writing an opinion text and a public service announcement, whereas the grade 7s will be learning about procedural writing, and the 8s an interview followed by an editorial. As always, writing traits continue to be taught throughout as well as grammar, verbs, conventions, homophones, guided reading, etc.

Math - Students will be studying equivalent ratios. Next week we will look at percentages. ***Homework will be assigned this week***. Please ensure assignments are completed. Let me know as well if you wish to have any additional work for your child to complete at home. Refer for my "web link" for numerous math websites to practice at home.

Mathletics is also well underway. Activities have been assigned to practice at school and at home. Feel free to browse what you son/daughter has completed to date. Students will be told in advance when Mathletics is assigned for homework
