Welcome back to another week in 4FI Glazier. I trust everyone enjoyed their long weekend and had their fill of turkey.

Reminders:

  • Please check reading bag nightly for notices, information, and homework (due on Friday’s)

  • Read nightly for 10-15 minutes

  • Fire Safety presentation on Thursday from 9-10 a.m.

French - Daily work consist of word work, reading, and writing. Students continue to draft a descriptive writing piece on a person of interest. This week’s focus will be to draft a conclusion. Next week, students will first self-correct their assignments, and then correct with a partner before submitting it to myself for correction and final copy.

Math – This week’s focus will be to correct all classwork from last week and move on to 3 and 4 digit subtraction. Unit test next Friday. We will review the 4 multiplication facts. Unfinished work will be sent home.

Social Studies – We are exploring the provinces and territories of Canada along with capital cities. In the coming weeks, we will be learning about physical characteristics, climatic and vegetative zones, regions, habitats, government, and symbols of Canada. Later, students will conduct a research project of a given province and/or territory. Details to follow in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I will respond via phone call as promptly as I can. Let’s have a great week! Cheers :)
