Welcome back to another week in 4FI Glazier. I trust everyone enjoyed our first weekend of fall.

Please note:

- Wednesday will be a half day. Student dismissal will take place at 11:15.

- Library will be open for student visits starting Tuesday.

- End-of-the-month assembly will take place Thursday at 10:15

- There will be no breakfast program on Friday.

- Friday is also Orange Shirt Day and our Terry Fox Walk. Our walk will take place at 1:30 p.m.

French - Daily work consist of word work, reading, and writing. Students continue to draft a descriptive writing piece on a person of interest. Students will express in writing the interest and tasks of their chosen subjects. Vocabulary quiz on Friday.

Please note that the expectation as well is to read 10-15 minutes every night as homework. There will be evenings where your child will have the same book for consecutive nights. Doing so enables students to re-read and master the book. Books sent home have been rehearsed in class.

Math - Students continue to learn about place value. This week’s focus will be Venn Diagrams. We have also reviewed our 2 and 4 multiplication facts. This week we will practice the 5s. Expectation is up to 8x8 in Gr.4. Practice sheets will be sent home. Students will also practice writing numbers 20-30. Quiz on Friday. Unfinished work will be sent home.

Health – We have completed our first unit. This week will serve as a review. Next week we will begin Social Studies.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I will respond via phone call as promptly as I can. Let’s have a great week! Cheers :)
