ICE word family songs

Posted: May 19, 2009

During the week of May 4th to 8th, students worked on the “ice” word family.  One of their activities included creating a song to the tune of Three Blind Mice.  Each group was responsible for making up their own songs by using as many “ice” words as they could.  Students had a lot of fun with this and got to perform them in front of Ms. O’Reilly’s class. Group 1:  Abby S, Octavia, Jake Three blind lice, three blind lice See how they crawl, see how they crawl They jumped onto my brothers hair and then he had to eat a pear Three blind lice, three blind lice.   Group 2:  Chandler, Ben, Meghan, Abbie D. Three nice dice, three nice dice See how they roll, see how they roll They all rolled after the famer’s wife, she sliced their points with a carving knife Three nice dice, three nice dice   Group 3:  Drew, Grace, Brooke B., Colby, Bilal Three blind ice, three blind ice See how they melt, see how they melt They melted all over the farmers wife, so she sliced them up with a carving knife Three blind ice, three blind ice.   Group 4:  Jadyn, Brooke B. Aaron, Ellie, Matthew  Three blind mice, stole a bag of ice That was not so nice, that was not so nice They went to get a bag of rice but instead they got a bag of ice Three blind mice, three blind mice.
