During the Writer's Workshop today we did Shared Writing.  Everyone helped out with making up the story, The Valentine's Day Field Trip Adventure.  We hope you enjoy the story as much as we did writing it. The Valentine’s Day Field Trip Adventure The day before Valentine’s Day Mrs. O’Toole’s class went on a field trip to All Year Art Supplies Store in Mario World.  When the boys and girls arrived at the store to buy art supplies for Valentine’s Day they were all sold out of red paper, red crayons, red hearts, red markers and everything pink.  “OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” yelled the boys and girls. Mario, the owner of the All Year Art Supplies Store told the boy and girls that he would call the Valentine’s Day Fairy.  She would deliver the Valentine’s Day supplies to Gretna Green Elementary. All of a sudden Luigi (Mario’s brother) who was unloading new Valentine’s supplies said, “Wait a minute I have the art supplies for you in my truck.” The boys and girls cheered and picked out their supplies. In the meantime, Mario called the Valentine’s Day Fairy and placed an order for the boys and girls. When the boys and girls arrived at school on Valentine’s Day they were surprised because the whole room was filled with red and pink Valentine decorations and supplies everywhere.  There was a note left on the door that said, Dear Boys and Girls, Thank you for coming to our store.  We hope you come again and enjoy all your new art supplies for Valentine’s Day.                                                 Sincerely, Mario, Luigi and the Valentine’s Day Fairy   Written by, Mrs. O’Toole’s Kindergarten Class
