We are working on a new unit in Math on Geometry. In this unit, your child will be learning about 3-D objects, such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, and pyramids, and 2-D shapes, such as triangles, squares, circles, and rectangles.
Learning Goals: Describe, compare, and sort 3-D objects according to their attributes, such as whether they roll or stack, have curved or flat parts; Describe, compare, and sort 2-D shapes according to their attributes, such as whether they have corners or straight sides; Make models to represent 3-D objects; Make models to represent 2-D shapes; Identify 2-D shapes on 3-D objects found in the environment.
