Catherine Austen: Catherine Austen, a Canadian author whose book 26 Tips for Surviving Grade 6, recently visited Gretna Green.On Tuesday, May 7, Canadian author Catherine Austen visited Gretna Green.  The reading was attended was by 4B and 4D students, many of whom were participants in the Hackmatack Club.  Ms. Austen's book 26 Tips for Surviving Grade 6 is nominated for the Hackmatack Book Award this year for English fiction.  During her presentation, Ms. Austen read selections from her book and gave the students many helpful tips on being a writer.  Thanks to the Newcastle Library and the Hackmatack Book Club for sponsoring this event!
