We would like to remind everyone that this will be the last week to purchase tickets on our amazing aluminum trailer donated by Kings Welding! The draw will be held on Friday, May 19th and all tickets must be returned by Thursday, May 18th. If you have unsold tickets please return them to school asap as many students are looking for more tickets!
All students in K-8 are invited to attend this year's STEM Fest on May, 13th from 10:00 am-3:30 pm at James M. Hill Memorial High School.The theme of STEMFest 2017 is At The Carnival. Students will work in teams to design and build carnival/arcade games out of cardboard and other materials. Prizes will be awarded for most creative, best engineered and most original. There will also be a people’s choice award.
Mrs. Lynch's Square Dancers were invited to perform at the Music Festival Final Concert this Thursday at 6:30 pm, at the JMH Theatre. Congratulations to Mrs. Lynch on preparing another great Music Festival performance!
On Wednesday, April 26, Heather Fowler from NBCC-Miramichi presented a cheque in the amount of $500.00 to Gretna Green School's Middle Level Drama Club. This generous gift comes from the campus's Community Engagement Fund and will be used to help cover expenses for the Annie Jr production. Thanks very much to NBCC-Miramichi for thinking of us!
Come check out our amazing middle level students as they perform this year's drama production, Annie Jr. The show will be on Thursday, April 27th at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and children under the age of 5 are free. Don't forget to bring spare change for our 50/50 and popcorn and water will also be available for sale.
The Windham Chamber Choir from Windham Maine, sang for the students of Gretna Green today and they were amazing! A special thanks to Susan Butler for making this happen and allowing our students the opportunity to experience such a great ensemble of student talent. It proved to be an excellent way to start our day!
Our first ever Easter Cup proved to be a big hit for our school volleyball players over the weekend. Easter prizes were handed out along with some other special treats and topped off with a great day of physical activity. A special thanks to Tony Vanbuskirk, Mr. Ryan and parents for making this happen ... Gretna Green truly is a great place to be!
Elementary drama practice that was scheduled for Wednesday, April 11 will be cancelled. All actors who were scheduled to attend this practice (Sultan, Jasmine, Lady, Princes, Omar, Aladdin, Genie, Fish, Storytellers, Guards) will attend Thursday's practice instead.
Our middle level Drama Club is now selling tickets on a basket of amazing gifts and gift cards that would be a fantastic prize for our lucky winner. The winning ticket will be drawn on the evening of our school production on Thursday, April 29th. All money raised will be used to cover expenses for our provincial drama festival being held in Fredericton.
