The annual Gretna Green Terry Fox Fundraiser will be taking place this week. All students are encouraged to bring some spare change throughout the week. For every loonie students raise they will recieve a ballot for the possibility of being selected as our Principal For The Day! Also don't forget to join us in our walking school bus on Friday, September 30th. All students and parents are asked to meet at the Northumberland Mall in Douglastown at 7:30 am and we will walk to the school in memory of Terry Fox. Looking forward to seeing you all there! A special thank you goes out to the Humphreys family and the staff and crew of the Tatamagouche Tim Hortons camp for providing a learning experience for our middle level students that was second to none! We all look forward to our goal setting adventures and meeting again in the spring!
Drama auditions for A Christmas Carol will take place after school on Monday, September 19, from 2:30 to 3:30. All students have been given an audition script and a role that they will perform at the audition. Please note that this role assigned for the audition is not necessarily the one your child will perform in the play.
Our Home & School have been working tirelessly for the past year on our new playground fundraiser and their hard work has paid off. After raising $50 000 they applied for a FYCAP grant that would match their amount raised. Well guess what?
Our grand opening for our new school cafeteria will be on Monday September 19th for all students. We are looking forward to serving you with nutritous and tasty meals throughout the week. Check out our menu selection and prices. If you would like to order simply write down what you would like and put the note and money in a zip lock bag and it will be sent to the cafeteria the moment your child arrives in the morning. We will also have a new option very soon for all parents and students. You will soon be able to order online and pay online for your meal selections from our menu.

First day of school for all students will be Tuesday, September 6th with the exception of kindergarten students who will be doing a staggered entry. There will be no cafeteria services the first week of schoolso all students are required to bring their own lunch.
We would like to remind all students in grades K-5 to please bring in their $50.00 fee for school supplies on the first day of school. This fee will cover all school supply costs for the entire year. Students in grades 6-8 will be purchasing their own school supplies. Their school supply lists can be found on our school homepage under the documents tab.
