Operation Christmas Child

Posted: November 6, 2009

Operation Christmas Child is an opportunity to help a child in need at Christmas time. You can, wrap, pack and send a shoebox overseas with Operation Christmas Child. Last year, through Operation Christmas Child, over 1.2 million shoe boxes packed full of gifts and goodies were wrapped, packed and sent to children in disadvantaged situations by children and adults in the UK. We would like to thank our students at Gretna Green for making over 70 boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year.  We have beaten our record from our first year, 2008, by 48 boxes.  We would also like to give thanks to Mr. Richardson, Christopher Cooke, Bailey Black, Kaylee Godfrey-Russell and Keaton Dedam for making this program a huge success at Gretna Green.  The boxes are now delivered to the Baptist Church in Newcastle and will be sent overseas for Christmas!
