Raising Awareness of Bullying/Cyber Bullying

Posted: October 15, 2009

During the month of October Gretna Green students will be reading Bullying Awareness messages during our Morning Announcements.  October 4-10 is National Bullying Prevention and Awareness week.  As well, November 15 - 21 is Bullying Awareness Week.  At Gretna Green, we believe that "Everyone has the right to be respected and the responsibility to respect others, in person and on-line!  This is why we expect our students to live and play by the "Golden Rule"; Treat others the way you want to be treated. We will add a survey to our website so our school community can let us know if they feel bullying is an issue at Gretna Green.  It is our committment to continue to educate our students on bullying prevention and awareness and we will not tolerate bullying at our school. Here are a few great website for parents and students to learn more about Bullying Prevention and Awareness.   http://kidsagainstbullying.org/   http://www.bullyingawarenessweek.org/   http://www.family.ca/standup09/
