The entire learning community of Gretna Green is extremely pleased to announce a wonderful new partnership between our school and Tim Horton’s.  This partnership will provide a unique learning opportunity for our students and engage our school teachers.  Our plan is to refurbish our existing Story Land Park so that it is a multipurpose space that will be used during all seasons for all subject areas.  We plan to redo the trail system, plant native trees and plants, and create a biking trail.  The learning opportunities that will be created with this funding are endless! We will be purchasing snow shoes, cross-country skis, mountain bikes, archery equipment, and we plan to build an outdoor rink.  This funding will surely unify our learning community of parents, students and teachers into a community based goal of improving the overall quality of learning of our students at Gretna Green.  We are looking forward to the involvement from all of you during the planning, construction and maintenance of this green space. Tim Horton’s has graciously donated $15,000.00 for this year and $10,000.00 per year for the next four years.  That is a grand total of $55,000.00!  Again, the entire learning community of Gretna Green would like to thank Julie, Wade and the Humphrey family for their generosity.  Such acts of kindness will definitely nurture an aura of positive energy that will be nurtured by our students for many years to come.  The Humphrey family have made this possible and for this we thank you!
