The grade five students played an important role in the conservation of our Miramichi Atlantic salmon.  They released their salmon fry on Friday into the Little South West Miramichi.  This was followed by a tour of the Miramichi Fish Hatchery.  A great time was had by all and we look forward to doing it again next year!

Jake Tweedie,Grade 2S and Wade Thibeau, Grade 3G found a message in a bottle the other day!!   The really neat thing about this story is the message was written by a former Gretna Green student, Jocelyn Murdock.  Five years ago, Mrs Lynch had her class complete a writing assignment where they wrote a letter explaining who they were.  They then put their letter in a bottle and Mrs.

1st Gretna Green Brownies hosted a Spaghetti Dinner, to raise money, as part of their Community Service Key.  Their dinner was a great evening and a great success with the girls raising $260.00.  The Brownies decided to donate $200.00 to a classmate at Gretna Green, Deegan Peterson. This money will help cover the cost for Deegan to go to the Canadian Diabetic Association Children's Camp this year. The remainder of the money raised went towards a basket to be presented at the Senior's Home.
