We woud like to remind our entire learning community that our last day of school will be on Friday, June 23rd and it will be a half day.  Early dismissal will be at 11:15.  If you are picking up your child on this day please notify their homeroom teacher so we know who will be taking a bus on this day.  All progress reports will be going home on Friday.

Our grade 5 students played a vital role in Atlantic salmon conservation once again this year. They released over 200 salmon parr into the main North West Miramichi river on Friday. They also visited the salmon hatchery to learn about salmon conservation.  Well done GG!

Everyone is welcome to attend our big production of the hit play, Alladin!  Our elementary drama club under the production of Ms. Bransfield and Mme Matchett look forward to you attending our show on Wednesday, May 31st at 6:30 pm.  Good will donations will be accepted at the door and don't your spare change for our 50/50 draw:)

Congratulations to Ben Banks who was the lucky winner of this year's Home & School trailer fundraiser. He is now the proud owner of a new utility trailer compliments of King's Welding! Thanks again to everyone who bought a ticket in support of this great cause.

Congratualtions to our varsity boys volleyball champs who defeated MAA in the finals of our ASD-N Championship game!  The boys had an excellent season and did an excellent job representing our school.  A special thanks to Mr. Ryan and Mr. Manuel for coaching this year's team!

We would like to remind everyone that this will be the last week to purchase tickets on our amazing aluminum trailer donated by Kings Welding!  The draw will be held on Friday, May 19th and all tickets must be returned by Thursday, May 18th.  If you have unsold tickets please return them to school asap as many students are looking for more tickets!

All students in K-8 are invited to attend this year's STEM Fest on May, 13th from 10:00 am-3:30 pm at James M. Hill Memorial High School.The theme of STEMFest 2017 is At The Carnival. Students will work in teams to design and build carnival/arcade games out of cardboard and other materials. Prizes will be awarded for most creative, best engineered and most original. There will also be a people’s choice award.

Mrs. Lynch's Square Dancers were invited to perform at the Music Festival Final Concert this Thursday at 6:30 pm, at the JMH Theatre.  Congratulations to Mrs. Lynch on preparing another great Music Festival performance!

On Wednesday, April 26, Heather Fowler from NBCC-Miramichi presented a cheque in the amount of $500.00 to Gretna Green School's Middle Level Drama Club.  This generous gift comes from the campus's Community Engagement Fund and will be used to help cover expenses for the Annie Jr production.  Thanks very much to NBCC-Miramichi for thinking of us!

Come check out our amazing middle level students as they perform this year's drama production, Annie Jr.  The show will be on Thursday, April 27th at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and children under the age of 5 are free.  Don't forget to bring spare change for our 50/50 and popcorn and water will also be available for sale.
