We are up to letters Qq and Rr!! Please keep practicing all the letters and sounds at home! Have your child look for words that begin/end with these letters. Practice printing all the letters. New sight words will be sent home this week. It is important to practice identifying sight words on a regular basis as this is an important early reading skill. Have your child use their sight words to practice writing sentences. The paper sight word books that get sent home are ones that your child is able to read. Have them read it to as many people as possible and as often as they can! This will help build confidence and excitement for reading! In Math, we are working on the concepts of more than, fewer than and the same as. Have your child count and finds sets of objects that are more than a given number or fewer than. Our Christmas show will take place on Wednesday. There are two identical shows (10:00 and 12:30). For the show, the drama club will be presenting a play and each grade will sing a song during the play. Both recesses will be inside since the children will be dressed up. Library is on Thursday. Have a great week!
