Homework is assigned every Monday.  Students will take home their reading bag and their homework notebook.  Both are to be returned to school on Friday. Students will find two leveled books and two "Good Fit" books in their reading bag.  They are to read for at least 10 minutes every night.  It is not necessary to finish reading all books, so long as they are reading for at least 10 minutes each night. Reading Comprehension:  Complete "Growing Flowers". Math:  Complete "Patterns". Spelling:  Study words.  Test Friday. Please complete the green Media Release consent and return it to school.  Book orders are due Friday, September 13.

Welcome back everyone!  I am very excited to be your grade 2 teacher this year and I can't wait to see you all on Tuesday!  I hope you have lots of stories ready to share about your summer adventures... I know I do!  Tell your grown-ups to check their mailboxes as there is a letter there waiting for each of you.  I do have a couple of surprises for you.  Mr. Paul Daley, a teacher intern from UNB, will be with us next week and every Monday after that.  He will be teaching our class for three weeks starting in late November.  Also, Mr. Comeau is going to be teaching You and Your World while I work on my Vice-Principal tasks in the office.  It is going to be a great year!  See you all on Tuesday!

Students are reminded that they are to read for at least 20 minutes every night.  They are to log their nightly reading on their reading log sheets. Word Study:  test at the end of the month Students are reminded to log their "Go for 42" kms and bring their log to school each day.
