Solutions at work

Posted: October 27, 2017

Grade 7 made a solution by diluting their solute in a solvant.  We saw a super saturated mixture.  We cleaned the oxidized tarnish off pennies.  Some groups then started to experiment with altering the time the solution worked on the penny. Other groups altered the ratio of solute to solvant to see if it affected the cleaning power of the end product.

I enjoyed seeing the students work together.  Students showed good skills today.  They worked collaboratively. Students chose the appropriate lab equipment.  Students measured liquids and solids.  Good Work Gators!
