Math 7/8 

-During today’s class, Mr. Walsh and Mrs. Foran pulled groups of students to assess if they can now multiply two digits by two digits.    This was a skill we practiced in class last week.    

-I presented a lesson on subtracting integers using the counter model.  I have distributed the Smart Notebook lesson to the students in their virtual class notebook in teams.    This is a grade 7 concept.  Grade 7 students will work on questions from the textbook tomorrow.   Grade 8 participated in the lesson to prepare them for PEDMAS questions latter this week. 

Math 7

Math 6 

-We did a review.  We used counters to model positive and negative numbers.   Students worked on questions from their textbook.   We will continue them tomorrow. 

Science 7 

-We recorded our observations from lunch.  Observations can be notes, phrases and drawings. 

-We reviewed terms and notes covered so far this year. 

-Students watched on video on how the tides are affected by the moon. 

-Notes were placed in teams class notebook. 

Science 6 

-We learnt the parts of the microscope and what they each do.   A handout was given.   We plan on being in the science lab next Monday learning how to focus microscopes.   It will be a lot of fun!
