 Mme Dickson provided a unique "tasting" experience of traditional Acadian cuisine today.  Students in grades 3-5 sampled poutine rapée while the K-2 students were treated with Acadian desserts.  Our student food critiques truely enjoyed expanding their cultural taste buds and a great time was had by all.  Special thanks to Mme Dickson for making this happen!

Let children help make their own lunch. Children can also help with grocery shopping and suggestions for lunch items. Include stickers, notes or cartoons in lunch box to brighten up their day! Convenience Foods. Convenience lunch packs (ie. Lunchables) are easy but they may be high in fat, sugar and salt. So why not make your own. Jazz up your children’s homemade lunch pack with colourful packages, or lunch bags to make it fun. Here’s some Mix and Match Home Lunch Kit suggestions that are higher in fiber and lower in fat and salt:

 Gracie along with her dad Tom and other awesome Gretna Green students created a new series of morning exercise routines today.  Each morning the entire staff start off their day with a morning exercise routine.  We would like to thank Tom for devoting his time, energy and supporting Gretna Green with their healthy start to each and every day!

The grade 4/5 boys basketball game on Monday, February 11th will now be played at Gretna Green against Croft. The game will start at 4:00 pm.  Students are to go home after school and return to Gretna Green at 3:45 pm.

 Staff Appreciation week is being celebrated next week at Gretna Green.  Our Home & School executive would like to thank all those parents who have volunteered to donate food items throughout the week.  The generosity by our parents has been pheonomenal and no other donations are needed at this time.  Thanks again to our learning community for playing such an active role in making Gretna Green a great place to learn!

 The pond hockey spirit was alive and well at Gretna Green today!  Many of the students wore their hockey jerseys to capture the spirit of this weekend's Rotary Pond Hockey tournament, check out our latest image gallery.  Mr. Comeau and Daniel thought it would be wise if they wore their awesome Habs jerseys, well done boys!

 Ms. Bransfield and her school choir have been asked to share their talent at this year's Miramichi Pond Hockey opening ceremonies.  They will be singing O'Canada.  Congratulations!
