The students in Mrs. Simmons' grade 3 class ventured into the world of mystery skype sessions today. They were paired up with a class in Toronto but this was not discovered until a series of questions were asked by the students to discover the identity of their "mystery skype class" of the day. It was a great learning experience for everyone involved and an impressive way to make learning fun!
Students and class' are recognized monthly at Gretna Green with the Dynmao Dragon Award and the Go Go Getter Student of the Month Award. It is a great way to celebrate student success and recognize our students for filling buckets and making Gretna Green a great place to learn! Many of the students at Gretna Green are enjoying this year's basketball season. Both boys and girls teams' are having a great start to the season and are thankful to our teachers and parents who are making it all possible!
Gretna Green dads, John Fitzpatrick, Darren Row, Bruce Tripp and Jacob Martin spent the past few days putting the final touches on this year's outdoor rink. The ice surface looks great! The rink is now ready for some skaters. Thanks again to all the dads, grand dads and neighbors of Gretna Green who made our rink a possibility once again this year!

Members of the Miramichi Wild and students at Gretna Green recently participated and won a hockey tournament in Renous. They had a great time and came away with the gold medal. Well done boys. In this photo are Blake and George up front and in back are Ashton, Logan and Blake.
The Christmas favorite, "A Christmas Carol" was performed today under the guidance of Ms. Bransfield and her entourage of talented cast in this memorable performance! The production was filled with acting, dance and song and continued a Gretna Green tradition of quality Christmas concert performances during the holiday season, bravo!
Ms. Bransfield and our school choir went on tour today. They shared their musical talent with residents of the Miramichi Seniors Home. It was a great experience for everyone involved and a fine way to spread the holiday cheer!
