This year, the Gretna Green Choir has been invited to perform at the Miramichi Music Festival final concert. The concert will take place Saturday, April 18 at 6:30 pm at the James M. Hill Theatre. Students are to meet in the main entrance at 6:00 pm. They can wear the same clothing they wore for the Music Festival performance - bright, tropical colours, sun hats, sunglasses, etc. Parents can email Ms. Bransfield branskrm@nbed.nb.ca if they have any questions.
The students of GG would like to thank Mr. Hallihan and his organizing committee for inviting us to his Outdoor Sportsman and Fly Fishing Symposium. We enjoyed fly tying, casting, archery and viewing the latest in robotics technology. It was a great learning experience for all of us!
GG was well represented at this year's ASD-N Music Festival. Students participated in choral readings, solo speeches, square dancing along with performances by our school choir. It proved to be an excellent experience for everyone involved and adjudicators were impressed with our student talent! Thanks again to our awesome teachers for providing this excellent learning experience.
We have so many things to celebrate at Gretna Green and last night we added just one more thing to that list ... a CUTE Award!!! Congratulations to Ms. Matheson and Mrs O'Toole's kindergarten classes' who brought home a CUTE Award for best animation during last night's gala event. Great teachers and great students always make a winning team - bravo from all of us at Gretna Green!

Prime Minister Harper took time to personally meet with Mrs Gardiner's grade 3 class during today's visit to the Miramichi. The students were permitted to ask him questions and engage in a great dialogue and great a wonderful learning experience for everyone involved. A special thanks to MP, Tilly O'Neill-Gordon for making this happen!
Students in grades 3-5 displayed a wide array of impressive STEM Fair projects for our entire school community this afternoon. It was amazing to see the amount of time, effort and imagination that went into creating such great projects. After much deliberation, five projects were selected to represent GG in the upcoming ASD-N STEM Fair on Wednesday, April 8th. The finalists are: Eliazabeth Cooper, Shahd Adoubali, Ryley Connell & Nathan Rupke, Kaelie Singleton & Aurora Sutton, Claire Wood. Congratulations!
