I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! This week, we are going to meet the H Brothers and find out what they do to words. Hmmm........ We will finish up our penguin posters and share them with some other classes. Be ready to talk about what you have learned! In Math, we will finish up our Unit on Geometry and Measurement. We are still working on the 3 R's and will start a project soon! Library is Thursday. Parent Teacher has been rescheduled for this Thursday. Some appointment times have changed. Happy last week of Winter :) The Scholastic Book Fair is taking place this week. We will be going Monday afternoon and again on Tuesday. Report Cards will be sent home on Monday. Please sign and return the envelope. Parent Teacher will be Thursday evening and Friday morning. There is no school on Friday. We are learning about Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. Talk to your parents about why it's important to use the 3 R's. We will continue our Math centers with Mrs. O'Toole's class this week. Keep reading!!!

Welcome back! I enjoyed hearing about everyone's March Break adventures. It sounds like a good week was had by all!
This week we are working on capacity and mass. Find 2 containers at home and compare how much water they hold. Use your hands to compare weights of different objects in your home.
New sight words were sent home with March homework calendars. Continue to review all your words.
Library is Thursday.
Wonder Wednesday is all about the 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

It's Student Appreciation Week!!! There will be no homework this week.
Monday- Extra long recess
Tuesday - Olympic Ring Day - Kindergarten students are asked to dress in yellow for a school picture. Olympic Survivor Day 1.
Wednesday - Come dressed as your favourite sport. We will be going skating from 1:00 - 2:00 (weather permitting). Olympic Survivor Day 2.
Thursday - Green and Gold Day. Olympic Survivor Finale!
Friday - PJ Day. Student vs Grade 5 hockey game.

Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend! Take advantage of the snowy weather and get outside for some sledding, skiing, snowshoeing or snowman building! There is no school on Monday for you so we will hand out our Valentine's on Tuesday!! Yay! Wonder Wednesday will be all about dental health. Do you remember how many teeth adults have? How do our baby teeth fall out? In Math, we will start measuring length and width and compare sizes. Who do you think wears bigger shoes, me or Sidney????? Show and Tell will be on Tuesday for Kaden, Sidney, Caleb, Lexi and Jackson because they missed it on Friday. Library is Thursday! Have a great week!

We had a lot of fun participating in a Mystery Skype today with Mrs. Gordon's class in Indiana! We each picked a fairy tale and came up with five clues. Each class presented their clues and then guessed what book it was. Mrs. Gordon's class used The Gingerbread Man and we used The Three Little Pigs. Both classes were able to guess the story. We had a chance to ask each other some questions about our schools and country. Thanks to Mrs. O'Toole's class for joining us.
