It's the last week of May! Wow! This will be your last week of homework in Kindergarten!!! Permission slips for our end of year field trip were sent home today. Please sign and return them as soon as possible.  We had a lot of fun at Beaubears Island last year and I expect this year to be great as well.  In Math, we are using ten frames.  Show your parents how to play The Last Counter! On Wednesday, we will be watching the drama club dress rehearsal for their play.  They will be putting it on for the public on Thursday evening. Library is Thursday - bring your books back!

In You and Your World, we have been learning to describe and locate some of the natural and constructed features of our community. In conjunction with Wonder Wednesday, students got into groups to construct a bridge that would support a toy vehicle.

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend!    This week, we are learning about magic "e".  He changes the vowel sound in words.   He can turn tap into tape and fin into fine!  Try some examples at home. In Math, we are finishing up number 10 and will work with ten frames.   We have been writing letters in class.  Practice writing a letter to a friend at home. Library is Thursday. Show and Tell on Friday is for everyone. Jump Rope for Heart envelopes went home today.  Please return the envelopes whether you decide to raise money or not. Have a great week!

Kindergarten students, Zachary, Drew, Dylan and Alexander had the unique opportunity to work with Technology Lead Mr. Craig Duplessie on two different stop motion movies. Enjoy the movies and thank you Mr. Duplessie for teaching the students about stop motion.

Happy belated Mother's Day!                 We are working on the numbers 9 and 10 this week.  How many ways can you make 9? How about 10? On Tuesday, we are going to see the Calgary Fiddler's perform at Gretna Green.  Wonder Wednesday is about natural versus constructed materials.  Look outside.  What things do you see that were man made?  Library is Thursday.  On Friday, we will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart in the gym.
