Grade 7

This week our new topic is area of a circle.  Because we use π in the calculation of area of a circle, and because it is an irrational number that never ends, your answer may be slightly different than the one Mathletics has.  This is ok.  Do not worry if your question is marked wrong.   It has to do with the fact that a calculator rounds the value and different calculators round at different place in the decimal. Please watch the video on the ShowMe platform or on YouTube.

Do a couple of the following learning opportunities.  Do the ones you prefer and work best in your learning environment.

-Mathletics

-IXL (review of circumference and new topic of area)

-Reflex (3 times sa week until you get a green circle)

-https://www.logicieleducatif.fr/math/geometrie/aire-du-disque.php    Disque is another name for circle.
