The grade five Intensive French students of Gretna Green Elementary have been working on a collaborative technology in French with their partnered school, Vincent Massey Elementary.  On this day, December 4th, they met with their respective "pod pals".  In mid October and again in November the students exchanged French written paragraphs biographies on each other following two previous video conferences.  These biographies have since be written and will now be reproduced as podcasts and shared during their final video conference in January. Todays's visit to Fredericton was made possible by Laura Davey and Emelie Hubert from Capital Encounters.  Their funding allowed the students to experience our province's capital and Legislature in an enriched learning environment.    The students had a unique opportunity today when they visited the provincial legislature.  Our GG Times crew enjoyed a private interview with our respective Miramichi Bay Du Vin MLA, Bill Fraser along with Speaker of the House, Honourable Ron Boudreau.  We are exceptionally thankful for their warmth and hospitality in providing a memory for our reporters, A.J., Erin and director Lauren.  These memories will be cherished for many years to come.  Thank you all so much!   GG Times 2009
