Last Friday (November 1st), the class started learning about hydroponics. We compared them to aquaponics and growing plants in soil. We planted lettuce in our class system and welcomed some tiny sprouts this morning. The "Lettuce Grow" project will start shortly and we'll have four more systems...

Weekly Reminders:
1) Homework: Reading for 20 minutes each night and writing it in the reading log. Any unfinished work may be sent home.
2) Just a reminder to please date the notes you send with your child at school (bus notes, permissions etc.).
3) Reminder that there is no school on Friday November 8th and Monday November 11th
4) Sign spelling test.
5) Keep selling those gad fundraiser tickets! It directly benefits our GG students :)

Our class explored how difficult being an archeologist can be by digging for the chocolate chips in cookies. We used both hard and soft cookies to mimic the type of soils we might encounter during an archeological dig. The students had a blast digging for artefacts!
