This Week in GG4SS -December 5- December 9

Only two short weeks of school left before Christmas Break!! That is only 9 and a half days!

*This week be our last week of Homework before Christmas break.

* Remember to dress for the colder weather and to have an extra pair of socks

in you bookbag.

*The cafeteria Christmas diner is this week.

Language Arts -This we are going to finish our good copy of our Christmas Personal Narratives.

Math - We will be finishing our Unit on Patterns and Equations.

Social Studies -We will finish and present our Exploration projects.

This Week in GG4SS - December 5 - December 9

Only 3 more weeks of school before our Christmas break. Time is flying, before you know it, it will be 2017!

Remember to dress appropriately for the weather. Snow pants, boots, mitts and a hat make outdoor time much more fun. It is also a good idea to keep extra socks in your bookbag in case your feet get wet.

On Tuesday, we will be able to play on our new playground. The swings haven't been installed yet but they will have to wait for warmer weather now.

Tomorrow is the dress rehersal for our Christmas Concert. We will have an early recess at 9:45 and the rehersal will start at 10:00.

Our Christmas concert will take place on Wednesday, December 7 at 10:00. Make sure you let your parents know.

Language Arts- This week we will continue to work on our draft copy of our Christmas personal narrative.

Math - We will continue work on Patterns and Equations this week.

Social Studies - We are going to try to complete our Exploration projects so we can present them next Monday!

This Week in GG4SS - November 28 - Dec. 2

Welcome back to another fun week in GG4SS! The last week of November and the first week of December.

*Only four week left until Christmas break. Where has the time gone?

*Remember to dress warm for outdoor recess. The colder weather is here to stay.

*We will continue to practice our song for the Christmas concert this week.

Language Arts - This week we will continue working on our Christmas Narrative

Math - We will be moving on with our unit on Patterns and Equations.

Social Studies - We will continue to work on our Exploration projects.

This Week in GG4SS November 21 - November 25

We have a 5 day week of school ahead of us and it is going to be another great week!

*Drama practice continues this week. Check your schedule for practice times.

*Another reminder to dress for the weather. It is damp and sometime a little wet outside. An extra pair of socks in your bookbag would be helpful.

*We will be continuing to practice our Christmas song for the Christmas Concert this week.

Language Arts - This week we will be starting a Christmas Narrative in writing and we will continue working on word families.

Math - We will be starting a new unit on Patterns and Relations.

Social Studies - Monday we will start researching a Canadian Explorer.

This Week in GG4SS - Nov. 14 - 17

It is report card week at Gretna Green and that means there is no school on Friday.

*This week we will continue to work on "Above The Line" behaviour so we can keep our buckets full. You did an awesome job last week!!!!

*Report cards will go home on Monday.

* Parent-Teacher meetings will take place on Thursday night and Friday morning.

*The school book fair will take place this week too. We will be visiting the Book Fair on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon at 1:15.

*Our morning recess will be inside again this week so our new playground can be installed.

*There will be No Homework this week but we will still have our multiplication quiz so study the four and five times tables.

Language Arts - This week we will be reviewing the word families of ight, ite and ought. As well, we will continue to work on the Writing Trait of Organization.

Math - This will be the last week of our Whole Numbers unit.

Social Studies - This week we will start working on a project about Canadian Explorers.

This Week in GG4SS November 7 - 10

This a four day week for school. Due to the observance of Remembrance Day, there is no school on Friday.

*Remember to bring warm lcothes. Both recesses are getting cooler now. Hats, Mitts and a warm jacket are necessary.

*Our Remembrance Day assembly will take place Thursday morning at 10:00. Parents are welcome to attend.

Language Arts - This week we will continue working on the writing trait of organization.

Math - We will finish our last lesson in our Whole Numbers Unit and start to prepare for a test.

Social Studies - We are going to begin a new unit on Exploration.

Happy Halloween my SUPERSTARS!! Be smart and safe while Trick on Treating on Monday night!

Happy birthday TRENT!!

Remember to bring warm clothing for outdoor recess. The mornings are getting cooler. Mitts, a hat and warm jacket are necessary.

Welcome again to Jonathan and welcome Holden to our class. We hope you enoy GG4SS!!

We didnt have time on Friday for our multiplication quiz so it is in your homework for you to try at home. This month we are moving on to the four and five times tables.

Language Arts - This week we are going to learn about using quotation marks in our writing and we are going to work on the Writing Trait of Organization.

Math - We will be working on subtracting large numbers this week.

Science - We are going to retry our Crystal experiment and learn more about the Rock Cycle.
