The last day of September and the first week on October...wow what a great month it has been!  We have read over 30 books and everyone has at least one story completed. Well done Superstars!!    * Soccer and Cross Country continue this week. Cross country practice is Monday and there will be a meet on Wednesday at England"s Hollow.  Soccer continues on Tuesday and Thursday!  * On Monday we are going to count the Terry Fox donations.  Super work organizing this event!  * The Breakfast program Fundraiser continues this week!  I hope we win the pizza party!!!     Language Arts - This week we will complete a Book Report on "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing."  We will also be learning how to write a proper paragraph and we will be working with homonymns. We will be learning our new spelling words for October as well. Math - We will finish up our lesson of Estimating Sums and we will begin Mental Math Strategies. Science - We will be learning about the Food Chain and we will begin our projects on Habitat.   Let's have another Superstar Week!

Another fun and busy week ahead of us!!  Congratulations for doing an awesome job with the Terry Fox Spare change drive!! I am proud of you.* This week there is  Cross Country on Monday and Wednesday.  Wednesday is a meet at Croft!* Soccer Continues this week on Tuesday and Thursday.* The Terry Fox Spare Change Drive continues all week. Friday morning at 7:30 is the Walk to School/Terry Fox Walk.  Meet at the Northumberland Square mall and walk to school with us!!                            * The breakfast program drive continues too!  Bring in items for the Breakfast program and week could win a pizza party! Language Arts - We will continue looking at the Ideas Trait, as well as Homophones and Prefixes and suffixes.  Our spelling test will be on Friday Septmber 27. Math - We will be Esitmating Sums this week and working with Mental Math strategies.Science - We will continue learning about Habitat and the Food Chain. Let's have another Superstart week!!
