This Week in Grade 3S - April 15 - 18

There are only 4 days of school this week! Friday is a Professional Development Day for teachers! * Drama practice continues this week. * Mad Science continues on Thursday afterschool from 2:30 to 3:30. * Book Orders will be sent out on Thursday. Language Arts - We will continue looking at the writing trait of "Voice". Remember to study your spelling words. The test is next week! Math - We will be working with Data Management and Probablity. We will continue to practice our mental math strategies for adding and subtracting two digits numbers. Science - We will be working on our Magnet projects most of this week! Let's have another Superstar Week!

Mad Science Starts Again!

Please Note Changes!!

Please note the changes that have been made to the daily routines at Gretna Green. As of Tuesday April 9, access to Gretna Green will be limited to the main entrance door. All visitors(this includes parents picking up students) will now be asked to sign in at the main office if they wish to move beyond the office area, and they will be given a visitor's pass. When leaving,visitors must sign out, return the pass and exit through the main entrance as well. These changes have been implemented to increase the overall safety of our students and staff.

This Week in Grade 3S - April 8-12

A full week of school!! Our year is going by so fast, it is already the second week in April!! *Drama continues this week afterschool. *Mad Science starts on Thursday. The deadline for applications for Mad Science is MONDAY! * Roots of Empaty - Kim will be here on Thursday to introduce our new unit of study. Language Arts - We will continue to work with our April spelling words. We will also be looking at the Writing Trait of Voice! Math - We will finish our unit on Measurement and continue working on Mental Math strategies. Science - We will investigate Magnets again and then we are going to start a project on Magnets this week! Let's have another SUPERSTAR week!

This Week in 3S - April 2 - 5

I hope everyone enjoyed their long Easter break!! We have a short but busy week ahead of us. *The "I'm A Thumbody" group will back on Tuesday to complete the second part of their lesson. * Thursday we have our follow up Roots of Empathy lesson. * Thursday and Friday is Parent/Teacher time. * Remember there is NO School on Friday!! Language Arts - We will continue to look at the Writing Trait of Conventions. Math - We be working with Measurement all week! Science - We will be starting our new unit of study on Magnets! Let's have another Superstar week!!
