Language Arts: Writing piece is due tomorrow on "Super Me".
French: We will be finishing our pod casts tomorrow.
Call a friend tonight if you would like to practice your phone conversations.
Reminder: The Thanksgiving day meal will be the only one sold in the cafeteria tomorrow.
Bring your helmet for phys.ed tomorrow. You will be mountain biking.

Here are the guidelines for the Art contest.It is through the Fundy Model Forest Network. There are some great prizes and you can use any medium for your art piece. :)
We will be doing this in Art class this month, but feel free to work on it at home as well.

Please complete your "super me" writing piece for Friday.
French: Call 3 of your friends from your "Carnet d'adresses" that you created in class.
Remember to ask them questions in french such as:
Comment ça va?
Quel est ton adresse?
Quel est ton numéro de téléphone?
En quelle année es-tu?
Reminders: No breakfast program on Wednesday morning, October 5.

Students were working in groups on a book study of medieval times for our Medieval unit we are working on.
Last week they presented their books on Medieval food, manners and customs, women and girls, and Medieval projects.
One group decided to create one of the Military machines from their book which was to build a trebuchet.
Here is a video of one fo the students from that group explaining the mechanics of his trebuchet.

Both grade 5 classes had a great time on Friday doing a geo cashing session wtih Mr. Hayward & Mr. Savoy! Everyone did a great job at finding teh cashes, and everyone had a great time!
Hopefully we can have them back again soon!

Math: Please work on "Show what you know" on Page 66 questions #2,3,5,6. We will be working on it in class tomorrow as a review for the Unit Test. There will be a Unit test on whole numbers on Thursday.
Study fact to 7 this week
Writing: Complete writing assignment on "Super Me" for Friday. Remember to use compound sentences, and use conjunction words such as; and, so, or, but.
