It took sudden death overtime for the teachers to claim a victory in this year's Teachers' vs Students' hockey match up.  A lot of shots reached the back of the net in a fun filled afternoon that saw a lot of laughs and memories created by both sides. The students will have to wait for warmer weather in our annual softball game in June for revenge!

Students in grades 3-5 Immersion had a unique learning opportunity this week.  They were lead by professional wood carver, Charles "Woodchuck" Bernard, through a series of wood carving learning sessions.  Each student and teacher were trained how to create a wood carved end product over a four day period.  It was amazing how quickly everyone learned to carve and it was a wonderful learning experience for all!

Mme Gallant created a memorable experience for GG Alumni Boys' Basketball players as they took a walk down memory lane.  They were invited to play in a Alumni game vs our boys' basketball team and had a great time!  Both alumni parents and students appreciated this great idea and look forward to it becoming an annual tradition.  Thanks to Mme Gallant for making this happen!  Click this link for game highlights http://gretnagreen.nbed.nb.ca/sport/gallery/gg-alumni-game-highlights

Our third annual GG Cup unfolded today with the Canadiens team claiming title to this year's cup!  A fun time was had by all and it was a great way to spend the day in the Canadian outdoors.  A special thanks goes out to the "GG Elves" who cleaned off our rink and donated benches for the event before the day of festivities even started.  Gretna Green is a great place to be!
