It's official - we have a new school name! Our new school name is "Gretna Green School". Mr. Comeau commented that the school name reflected the outstanding support from our learning community who submitted nominations for our new school name. The majority of whom submitted the name that was selected, Gretna Green School. The Gretna Green school name carries on it's tradition of excellence within our learning community!
Our Home & School Fundraiser kicks off today. The students will be selling tickets on a utility trailer donated by Lindsay King this year. Tickets and a notice will go home today with all students in a ziplock bag. It is very important that when money and tickets are returned to the school that the bag is labelled with the seller's name so we know who sold the tickets. This will be important to know as there are prizes for our top 3 sellers.
We would like to remind everyone that parent-teacher interviews will be held Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00 pm and again on Friday from 9:00-11:30 am. Remember there is no school for students on Friday due to interviews and professional development sessions for teachers. Enjoy the extended weekend boys and girls!

We would like to remind everyone we will be holding our annual spring Scholastic Book Fair this week from March 21st-24th. The fair will be held in the music room across from the main office. The fair will be open during class time from Monday to Thursday. We also want to remind everyone that there will not be an evening sale on Thursday.
Our grade 5 students returned from their 4 day Tim Hortons Camp in Tatamagouche, NS, on Friday. The experience was truly a memorable one that allowed all students to develop their confidence, interpersonal skills and team work abilities. We also want to thank Wade and Julie Humphreys for sponsoring our school for this amazing learning experience! Check out our gallery for some of the trip highlights.
Mrs. Morehouse and her awesome student council have organized our annual Easter Basket Draw once again this year. Tickets will be sold at noon hour from Monday to Thursday. All tickets will be 0.25 each. Draw will be on Thursday afternoon ... good luck everyone!
