Mrs. Pond of Miramichi Big Brothers & Big Sisters presented yet another cheque in support of our Home & School breakfast program today. A cheque of over $2400.00 was donated to ensure our breakfast program continues to provide a great start to the day of our students for the remainder of the year!
Represenatives of Rugby NB descended onto GG today to introduce the sport of Rugby to our students. Students were provided with a great workshop on the basics of the game and put through a series of drills. Thanks again to Mr. Ryan for providing this experience for our students!
Grade 5 students are participating in a after school cooking class called, CHEFS. The students are lead by chef Brian Matheson and two other medical students through a series of workshops involving healthy food preparations and meal choices. It has proven to be a big hit for all and mighty tasty!
Mme Dickson's grade 4 class were recently presented with prizes from Miramichi Mango following their participation in a recent ASD-N Mango Challenge. Bravo mes ami(e)s!
Fornebu Lumber made a special presenation today for our Home & School Playground Fundraiser. Kevin Jewitt along with four other represenatives from Fornebu Lumber donated a $5000.00 cheque designated for new playground equipment. Without the help of such generous leaders within the Miramichi business community our goal of reaching $50 000 would be unattainable. Thank you to the employees and management team of Fornebu Lumber for this generous donation!

Our Gretna Green community have continued to show their support through the new year of 2016! School partnerships with our business community have been created in support of our Home & School Playground Fundraiser. Business community partners such as Kingstons Fuels, Trevors Hyundai, Trevors Nissan, Fornebu Lumber and the Douglastown Lions Club along with our amazing parents have teamed together to raise over 30 000 towards our final goal of 50 000 to purchase new playground equipment. Wow - it's so awesome to be a member of such a fantastic winning team!!!
Tanner seized the moment during Christmas holidays to cash in on his first place prize of a limo ride spree with friends Ashton, Maddox, Ella and Jaden. He won first place in this year's school fundraiser and thought it would be a good idea to swing by GG. A special thanks to John Fitzpatrick and Robert Holmes for making this happen!
The teachers and students of Gretna Green would like to thank our awesome parents for their generosity in donations during the Christmas season for our new school playground. Money donated during our Christmas concert and donations given in lieu of teacher Christmas gifts totalled approximately $2000.00. Thank you!!!
