Gretna Green was buzzing with action this weekend or was it chainsaws?  Dads and grand dads worked together to clear out some new biking trails as we continue to give the green space of Gretna Green a new look.  These trails will serve as snow shoeing trails in the winter.  Thanks again to John, Kris, Guy, Jason, Tommy, Mr. Ryan and Mr. Comeau.  Meanwhile, Harold Simmons put the finishing touches to our gazebo.  Thanks Harold!  Gretna Green is a great place to be!

We thought we would share this special moment with you; our learning community.  During our recent meet the teacher session, Mrs. O'Toole seized the opportunity to meet her new kindergarten and engage in some small chat.  She asked the question to one young boy, "So how is your year going so far?".  The boy responded, "Well kindergarten is better than preschool but not as good as Magic Mountain!"  So there you have it; our quote of the week.  Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Greetings everyone!  Gretna Green would like to get moving on clearing out some trails in Story Land park in the very near future.  The existing main trail needs to have some brush and trees removed to make it more accessbile for our mountain bike program which will start soon.  If any one within our learning community is able to help in anyway with this project please contact Mr. Comeau comeakei@nbed.nb.ca, Mrs. Simmons carolyn.simmons@nbed.nb.ca or simply call the school at 778-6099.  Thank You!

The students, staff and teachers held a back to school rally today and had a great time! There is always lots to celebrate at Gretna Green and that was certainly true today!  Our first celebrating student success certificates were handed out today along with some special prize giveaways to Empire Theatre!  The rally was then topped off with a Zumba dance lead by Ms. Hitchman and our awesome grade five students.  A great time was had by all.  Check out our image gallery for some of the highlights!
