Attention all musically talented GGers! We are looking for a new theme song to greet us daily on morning announcements. If you have an imagination and interest in music this is your opportunity to shine! We will begin our morning theme song contest on Monday, October 20th. Those students who are interested in participating will have their songs recorded. All finalists will have their songs posted on our school website. Come join us for the annual walk in support of Autism Resources Miramichi. The walk will take place on Saturday, October 18th at 11:00 am. All participants are asked to meet at the Autism Resources Miramichi office located on 139 Duke St in the former town of Chatham. All participants are asked to pledge $20.00 in support of this initiative. Please contact Mrs. Morehouse for a pledge sheet if interested.
Our very own Mr. Ryan was recognized for teaching excellence in the area of Physical Education during this week's Remember When conference. He was bestowed this special honor in recognition of his numerous contributions towards physical fitness and healthy lifestyles at Gretna Green and throughout ASD-N. Well done Mr. Ryan, we are all so proud of you!
Students and parents are all reminded that there will be no school on October 9th and 10th due to professional development days for teachers and support staff. Monday, October 13th will also be a holiday for students in recognition of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Enjoy the extended weekend boys and girls!
Gretna Green had a new principal and vice prinicipal for the day today. Mr. Ryan Dunn was our principal and Mr Caden Sullivan was our vice principal. They both did a fantastic job and awarded all students at Gretna Green an extended recess! Well done gentlemen, Mr. Comeau and Ms. Bransfield enjoyed their day off!

Mrs. Simmons' grade 4 class lead our entire school in this year's spare change fundraiser in support of the Terry Fox Foundation. After one week of donations and a morning walk over $350.00 was donated by our students. Well done Gretna Green you donations are contributing to an excellent cause!
