Christmas Concert

Our Christmas Concert will be tomorrow, Tuesday, December 20th. The first concert will be at 10:00 a.m. and the second, exact same concert will be at 12:30 p.m.  Please wear your Christmas concert clothes for the big day everyone!

December 13- Homework

Math:   Complete # 1a, 3, 4, 6   Language Arts: Read 20 minutes and record your reading in your logs   Complete "Holiday Traditions" sheet for Friday.     Reminders: Students are reminded to wear their Christmas concert clothing for our dress rehearsal on Friday.  They may want to bring an extra change of clothes to change into following the rehearsal.

Homework- December 12th

Reminder to return permission slip by Wednesday! On Friday, we will be going to visit the Miramichi Seniors and we will also be  recording for our Christmas Concert at GG.  It would be nice if everyone would wear their best outfit and if you have a Santa tuque or elf hat, please bring it with you!     Math: Complete questions 1,2,3,5 on pages 263-265   Study your multiplication facts. Quiz on Friday!   Language Arts: Study your December Words, Test on Wednesday, Dec. 21st.   "Holiday Traditions" Reading comprehension is due on Friday.   Get your Math test and Social Studies Project mark signed and return.

Christmas concert dress rehearsal

On Friday, Dec. 16th, we will be having a full dress rehearsal for the Christmas concert. Please dress as you would for the Christmas concert. Also, we will be going to the senior citizens home to sing Christmas songs, so if you have a Santa or elf hat, please bring it with you.

Grade 5 will be skating tomorrow from 9:00 am until 9:45 am.  Reminder to bring skates and helmets!   Language Arts: Read 20 minutes each night and log reading.     Math: Complete questions 1,2,4a on page 260. Find one piece of "second-hand data for our bulletin board   quiz on Friday (multiplication and divsion)

Math:  Complete word problem sheets and division problem sheet.   (Extra Math practice can be returned when completed)   Language Arts:  Study your December words Read 20 minutes each night   Social Studies: I want to congratulate all the Medieval Project Presenters who presented today!! Well done! You all did a fantastic job! I can not wait to see the remaining students present!

December 5-Homework

Math: Study your multiplication facts and inverse division. Multiplication and Division work sheets are due on Friday.   Language Arts: Finish filling out "Elements of a Short Story" graphic organizer and begin your first page of your Christmas Story Read 20 minutes each night and record your reading in your logs books 3 AR quizzes due by December 22nd Please return your spelling tests signed to me.   French: Read your book to atleast one person at home.

Math: Math test tomorrow. Please look over your review questions tonight.   Social Studies: We will be working on Social studies projects tomorrow. Bring in any written material that you would like to work on in class.   Please sign and return report card envelopes back to the school.

November 29th- Homework

Math:  Complete Lesson 9 hand-out questions on division strategies. You may use any of the division strategies you feel the most comfortable using. We will be having our Unit test review tomorrow! Test is on Thursday.   French: Think of a place you would like to visit. You will be sending your post card from here! :)   Language Arts: Spelling test tomorrow. Study your November words.   We will have some guests coming in from the high school to read to each class tomorrow! We are very fortunate to have them at our school! :)

Math: Complete questions 1, 2 (a,b,e), 4 (a,b), and 5 on page 102-103 for homework. Complete Math Multiplication sheet by Thursday. (No school Friday) Get Math quiz signed and return.   Language Arts: Read 20 minutes each night. 3 AR Quizzes due by Wednesday. Review your November Spelling words. Test on Wednesday.   Science: Complete homework sheet on inclining planes.   December BOOK orders due Tomorrow.   Please bring in any remaining money for grade 5 sweatshirts or tshirts this week.

Math:  Get Math quiz signed and return Complete pages 98-99 # 1,2,5,6,9,12 Math Fun sheet on Muliplication is due on Friday.   Reading Comprehension: "The Jet Engine" is due on Friday. Social Studies: Complete summaries in "Castle Diaries" up to September for Friday. Cut out a "Help Wanted"  Ad from the newspaper and bring it in on Wednesday. We will be making our own Medieval Help Wanted ad on Wednesday! :)   Also, Bring in any written material you would like to work on for your Medieval Projects on Wednesday. We will be working on them in class. Projects are due Tuesday, December 6th.         Remember to read 20 minutes each night and log your reading :)
