The Grade 5 Outdoor Adventure club will resume on Thursday, March 29th from 2:30-4:00 at the school. We will be beginning an Archery Club for the school for any students that are interested. A permission slip will be sent home early in the week.

A reminder that Mrs. Bransfield's grade 5 class will be going canoeing tomorrow at MVHS from 9-11:30. Students will need a towel, and swimming trunks.

The year end soccer Jamboree will be held this Saturday at Gretna Green field. Gretna Green's first game will be held at 8am. We are looking for a few volunteers to help out with hot chocolate and drinks. If you are interested in giving a hand please call the school. We will no longer be holding soccer practices on Monday after school. We will now hold practices before our home games from 2:30-3:30. The Grade 5 Outdoor Adventure club will now take place on Mondays from 2:30-3:30

The Gretna Green soccer team improved to 3-0 with a win yesterday against Harkins. The team played a great game against a very hard working Harkins squad. Gretna Green will play their next game on Thursday Sept. 29th against Miramichi Rural at Gretna Green field.

The grade 4/5 boys played an excellent game to finish off their season today against Croft. The boys will take part in a mini Jamboree on Feb. 17th. A schedule will be sent home this week.

Congratulations to Team Italy who won the Recess Soccer Championships. Italy defeated Team England 2-1 in a shootout. Congratulations to all the players on a great season!

The School District 16 Soccer Jamboree will be held this Saturday, October 16th at Gretna Green Elementary. Check the documents section for the schedule of games. There will be hot chocolate and snacks available for purchase. Please come dressed for the weather.

Soccer and Cross Country will both be starting on Monday, September 13th at 2:30. Cross Country is open for anyone in grades 3, 4 and 5. Practices will be held every Monday from 2:30-3:00. Soccer is open for Grades 4 and 5 and practices will be every Monday from 2:30-3:30.
Schedules for each sport will be sent home and posted online when the school receives them.

Gretna Green students started to "Walk Across Canada" last week during Recess. Students are given a pedometer to track how many steps they take during their 15 minute walk. Our starting point is Sackville, NB. Last week our school had 41,678 steps which equals 33km. Great job everyone!
