Wonder Audio Book
It's Thursday! Which means typically it would be our library day. I wish we were spending it together but I'm sending this virtual audio book of Wonder for those who are missing out on what happens next. We left off at the time 1:30:32-on the chapter "Jack Will". Find a cozy spot to get comfortable in and enjoy the read!

The Mathletics November Numeracy Challenge
When: November 15 - 21
How does it work? Your child will use their Mathletics accounts to complete in Live Mathletics. Mark the dates on your calendar: 15 - 21 November 2021 (Monday - Sunday).
What is Live Mathletics?
Live Mathletics is an awesome way for students to practice their mathematics skills. They can choose to versus the computer, peers in their class, school, or even around the world in one minute mathematics battles. There are many different levels to cater to all ages.
How do students access Live Mathletics?
In the Mathletics learning space, students will find Live Mathletics in the Play area.
Students can earn points for our school by playing Live Mathletics during the event. Let's make Gretna Green school proud and earn those points! Everyone can contribute points no matter their level!
Winners and prizes
Prize packs are awarded to the top 10 schools, based on the highest average of participation points.

Note: Students can remove the cards 6 through 9 until they have automaticity with their facts from 1 through 5. You can let the face cards represent the number 10. Up for a challenge? Keep all of the numbers in the deck and let the Jacks represent 11, Queens represent 12 and Kings represent 13. Whoa! A ton of fun to be had :D!

Spiral Multiplication
Check out this fun game; Spiral Multiplication! All you need for this game is a deck of cards, a game piece to represent each player and a die. Remove the Kings and Jokers. Jacks and Queens can represent the numbers 11 and 12.

Multiplication Pyramid
Students in our class have played Multiplication Pyramid. It's a really fun game that only requires a deck of cards, a piece of paper and a pencil. A calculator also comes in handy at the end of the game to add up all your points. Who will be declared the winner? See the video below for directions. Have fun and thanks for everything you do!

Hint: Create your pyramid by starting with your one card at the top. Continue your pyramid until the last row has 7 cards. Let all face cards represent 10 and Ace's represent 1.
