Mrs. Girouard's Grade 2...Remembrance Day Song and other suggestions

Good Evening,

There are a couple more things I would encourage you to do this week with your children. The song we had been practicing for our Remembrance Day concert is “I’ve Got Peace in My Fingers.” The link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UhXG2Sk1l8. If you get a chance, it would be great if you could play it and practice. Also, the students in the class love doing guided drawings on Artforkidshub…also available on youtube. They are easy to follow and a lot of fun. For some fun activities and brain breaks Gonoodle is a fantastic resource.

Please let your child know that I am missing everyone and that I’m looking forward to being back in the classroom very soon. Please feel free to contact me if there’s anything you need.

Home Learning Week of November 1st

Good morning,

For home learning this week, you can have your child work on the activities sent home in the package to be used in case of a covid shutdown. They can also do some writing every day following what they have learned in Writer's Workshop so far this year. We have been working on Personal Narrative. On Thursday, I sent home passwords for Dreambox, Raz-kids and Squigglepark. Please log on to these every day for about twenty minutes of Math and twenty minutes of Literacy.
