The Christmas favorite, "A Christmas Carol" was performed today under the guidance of Ms. Bransfield and her entourage of talented cast in this memorable performance! The production was filled with acting, dance and song and continued a Gretna Green tradition of quality Christmas concert performances during the holiday season, bravo!
Ms. Bransfield and our school choir went on tour today. They shared their musical talent with residents of the Miramichi Seniors Home. It was a great experience for everyone involved and a fine way to spread the holiday cheer!
Everyone is reminded that our school choir will be singing before the beginning of both Christmas concerts on Wednesday at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. They will be entertaining the audience while they wait for the concert to begin, starting approximately 30 minutes before the start of each concert. Family memebers may want to come a little early to take in the voices of our fine school choir. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our very own Ms. Bransfield who organized this year's Christmas concert and school Christmas choir, you did a fantastic job!
We still have tickets remaining on our fabulous six drawer chest with mirror filled with many crafts and gifts. This would make a great gift for Christmas so if you feel lucky buy some tickets. Tickets are still available at the office. The lucky winner will have their name drawn at our Christmas concert on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
Hunter Row is pictured here presenting a cheque for $750.00 to Aliyah Somers and her family. The learning community of Gretna Green lead by Hunter rallied together to raise these funds in support of funding treatments for Aliyah who is battling leukemia. Aliyah and her family were exceptionally greatful and it was a positive experience for everyone involved.
One of our students of Gretna Green Elementary, Hunter Row, has come up with a pretty unique fundraising campaign for a friend. His friend, Aleah Somers from St. Andrews Elementary, was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Hunter would like to support her as she commences her treatments.
The annual Gretna Green Craft Sale and Holly Tea will be held once again this year on December 1st from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
