Ms. Bransfield Notes

1 Bransfield

Notes

Hello 1 Bransfield students, parents, and guardians!

Welcome to our fourth week of Home Learning!

Last week, students wrote their own morning messages.  If any students would like to share their work with their classmates, please forward them to me and I will post them here on my teacher page.  Students can send a video of themselves reading their message or they can send a written copy of the message.

Students are also encouraged to submit photos, videos, or drawings about their adventures at home to share with their classmates on this page.

We will have a class Skype this Friday (May 1) at 1 pm.  We will follow the same format as last week.  I will read the students a story and we will have a class sharing circle, where the students will have the opportunity to share something they've been doing at home (if they wish).  Sharing is optional - they may simply listen to the story and their classmates if they wish.  I have sent out an invitation to all parents who requested one last week.  If you weren't part of last week's Skype and would like to participate this week, please email me with the email address  you would like to use.

Once again, please don't hesitate to reach out to me (Literacy) at krista.bransfield@nbed.nb.ca or Mrs. Allison (Math) at teena.allison@nbed.nb.ca should you have any questions about your child's learning.  We are happy to help!  Stay safe, everyone!

Hello 1 Bransfield students, parents, and guardians!

Welcome to our third week of Home Learning!

Last week, students were encouraged to work on a narrative.  If any students have stories that they'd like to share with their classmates, please forward them to me and I will post them here on my teacher page.  Students can send a video of themselves reading the story or they can send a written copy of the story and I would be happy to read it for them.

Students are also encouraged to submit photos, videos, or drawings about their adventures at home to share with their classmates on this page.

I am going to attempt a class Skype on Friday, April 24 at 1 pm.  This would be an opportunity for students to touch base with me and their classmates.  I plan reading the students a story and having a class sharing circle, where the students will have the opportunity to share something they've been doing at home (if they wish).  Sharing is optional - they may simply listen to the story and their classmates if they wish.  I will email parents with more information.

A script for The 3 Little Dassies choral reading will be going home with your child today.  2B and 2G will be performing this at this year's Music Festival.  There are five solo parts (Mimbi, Pimbi, Timbi, Agama, and Eagle) while the narrator roles are group roles.  Children are asked to practice their lines at home.  We will be practising at school as well.  The Music Festival will be the week of April 24 (date TBA).
