Homework for the week of September 16-22

In math this week, we will continue to work on

-saying numbers forward by 1s to 20.

-Saying numbers backward by 1s from 10

-Recording a given number to 20

-Reading a given number 0-20

-Identify missing number   

In French Language Arts, we will work on the following oral structures:

·        De quelle couleur sont tes cheveux? (J’ai les cheveux blonds.) What color is your hair?

·        De quel couleur sont tes yeux? (J’ai les yeux bleus) What color are your eyes?

·        Quel est la date aujourd’hui?  ( Aujourd’hui, c’est le lundi 16 sseptembre.)What is the date today?

·        En quelle année es-tu? (Je suis en première année) What grade are You in?

Homework is a great way to reinforce skills as well as keep you updated with what we are learning in class.  This week, homework will be sent home on Monday to be returned to school by Friday. Students are encouraged to read every night the poem to be read this week is “Isabelle Igouane?”  A math sheet will also be sent home “colorie la grille de 10 pour representer le nombre indique” Color the ten-frame grid to represent the number indicated.  word of the week to practice reading is. (je, j’ai, il, elle, un , une,  ans)   

Just a reminder that the Terry Fox run and walking school bus is this Thursday September 19.

Please be sure to check your child’s binder daily and our website weekly.  I will have important notes and documents on both. You are invited to phone me or visit the school any time that you have a question concerning your child's progress.  I will also keep you informed by sending home samples of your child's work.
